Emma Wilson (M.S.W, R.S.W, R.C.C)
Emma holds a passion for helping clients navigate challenges in their lives, while facilitating empowerment through the process change. She has a Master of Social Work Degree with a focus on the treatment of trauma from the University of British Columbia.
Emma has extensive experience working in the field of mental health with adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, youth and families. In the last four years, she has focused her experience on providing individual therapy to clients experiencing depression, anxiety, panic, PTSD symptoms, grief and loss, stress and troubles coping with change. Additionally, she has facilitated Dialectical Behavioural Therapy skills group, as well as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy focused groups for the treatment of depression, anxiety and panic.
Emma is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and a Registered Social Worker with the BC Association of Social Workers. She completed specialized training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy at the University of British Columbia, as well as training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy through the DBT Centre of Vancouver. Emma also holds a certificate in (EMDR) Eye Movement Repossessing Desensitization Therapy for the treatment of trauma, completed in 2020.
